Matthew Taw

Matthew Taw serves as Operations Manager for OMCO SUMO, bringing a strong technical foundation in materials science and engineering to his role. Having lived in China, Matthew brings firsthand cultural familiarity that strengthens OMCO SUMO’s collaboration with its supplier base and supports the company’s established global manufacturing network.

Prior to assuming his current role, Matthew served as OMCO SUMO’s Quality Systems Manager — a position that deepened his familiarity with the company’s operations and standards. Before joining OMCO SUMO, Matthew spent seven years as a Material Development Engineer at Mytex Polymers, a group company of Mitsubishi Chemical America, where he managed over 25 million pounds of material produced annually while leading new product development and providing technical support for key OEM accounts. During his tenure, Matthew was honored with Japan Polypropylene’s Presidential Award for his contributions leading to success in a highly competitive new market.

Matthew is a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt and holds a BS in Chemistry and Physics from Union University and an MS in Materials Science and Engineering from Purdue University.
