Kyle Stoehr is President & Managing Partner of OMCO SUMO, bringing over 25 years of executive leadership and a lifelong connection to the bearing industry. Introduced to the field at age five through his stepfather, Donald Sydow — then General Manager and later Owner & CEO of Oconomowoc Manufacturing Corp. — Kyle developed deep roots in the business from an early age, working across production and engineering roles throughout his formative years.
After completing his studies, Kyle returned to OMCO in a full-time capacity in 1997, working alongside Donald Sydow until his retirement in 2014. Under Kyle’s visionary leadership, OMCO SUMO evolved from a U.S.-based manufacturer of specialty and custom ball bearings into a global provider of sustainable design, manufacturing, and value-added mechanical power transmission solutions — a transformation he architected and led. During his tenure, the company added to its legacy of excellence by earning one of its three Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Awards, and was recognized and featured in President George W. Bush’s 2004 reelection campaign as an exemplary mid-market manufacturer Wisconsin manufacturer. He holds eleven U.S. patents, with three additional patents pending.
Kyle holds a BA in Communication from Arizona State University.
